Central Asian University provides training in the most popular specialties in economic, technical and humanitarian fields; forms of training - full-time and distance; languages of instruction - Kazakh, Russian and English; the university provides: certified computer literacy of graduates; mastering business English with a certificate from Central London College.

Teaching with the use of distance learning technologies at the Central Asian University is carried out in extramural form according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 157 of 04/07/2010.

The distance learning format is carried out using case, network and TV - technologies.

The most common is case technology.

The use of network technology allows each student to provide access to training materials and other educational information resources. As with the traditional form of training, the teacher, who leads this or that discipline, develops the curriculum, determines the class schedule and the deadlines for assignments. These materials are posted on the distance learning portal - Access to educational materials is provided through a login and password, which are formed during registration and enrollment in the course.

With the use of TV technology, face-to-face (classroom) classes are held. Currently, Central Asian University uses a communication channel that unites all regional distance learning centers. Classes in real time are held simultaneously in five cities of Kazakhstan - Astana, Aktobe, Kostanay, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Teaching materials are formed by the teacher from lecture texts in electronic form and materials for practical exercises, as well as materials for independent study (tasks, questions for discussion in off-line mode (forum), testing in on-line mode on the distance learning portal, discussion of topics in on-line mode, etc.

Each of the students sees the teacher on the screen and can ask him a question at any time. At the same time, students can not just communicate with the teacher. Communication facilities allow us to ensure the interaction of students among themselves in different cities - to conduct business games and carry out group projects.

The distance learning technologies used in the educational process comply with the requirements defined by the State standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan 34.016-2004 "Technical and software tools for distance learning".

Distance learning is individualized in nature and involves a large amount of self-study. The whole system is based on strict reporting and a strict system for monitoring the implementation of tasks. The student performs a large amount of independent work, gives lectures, performs assignments, and passes tests. The distance learning portal hosts lecture and practical classes (including video lectures) for independent study (tasks, questions in offline mode (forum), discussion of topics and testing online).

Every student should understand that distance learning is not only electronic lectures, but a holistic process that includes independent work on individual tasks, working in a forum, exchanging letters and online communication with both teachers and other students .

The single core in the remote form is the commutation unit - students come to online classes and consultations in tutorial classes.

The role of the teacher: in the remote form of education, the teacher has such functions as coordinating the cognitive process, correcting the taught course, managing educational projects, etc. He manages the study groups and helps students with their professional self-determination. Asynchronous, as a rule, the interaction of students and teachers in remote form involves the exchange of information during correspondence via the Internet. This allows you to analyze the incoming information and respond to it at a convenient time for students.

Quality control of education: as forms of control, examinations, interviews, practical, term papers and design work organized in real time are used. It should be noted that the solution to the problem of quality control of distance education, its compliance with educational standards is of fundamental importance for the further development of distance learning.

The use of technologies and teaching aids: distance learning technology is a combination of methods, forms and means of interaction between students and teachers in the process of independent, but controlled development of a certain body of knowledge. The training technology must meet the requirements of the country's educational standards.
